Albert Schweitzer made significant contributions to humanity based on his worldview of respecting life. He also reminds us that life is a sacred gift, and we should always approach it with gratitude and reverence. Hospitals, as places with a profound mission towards life, provide a holy symbol and the utmost space for inclusivity and compassion.

融合中国「颐养」的智慧，坐落于海南博鳌的颖奕国际医疗中心，以让更多人享受更高的生命品质为初心。

Integrating nurturing into Chinese culture, the ENHANCE INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL CENTER, located in Boao, Hainan, intends to enable more people to enjoy a higher quality of life.

✳︎三层的建筑体中，我们将接待放在2F，人流在此聚集。

The reception is placed on the 2nd floor within the three-story building, where visitors are dropped off.

✳︎2F整合多功能会议空间、结算中心、药房

Integrate multi-functional meeting space, cashier（Financial Center), and pharmacy on the 2nd floor.

包括预防医学及慢性病管理中心、抗衰及医疗美容中心、干细胞免疫治疗中心、女性生育力保护中心、全人类细胞存储库、运动医学及康复中心，提供全方位的疗程服务，反映了其空间设计对医疗专业知识的高度需求。

Comprising a Preventive Medicine and Chronic Disease Management Center, an Anti-Aging and Medical Aesthetics Center, a Stem Cell Immunotherapy Center, a Women’s Health and Fertility Wellness Center, a Cell Bank Center, and a Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center, it offers comprehensive treatment services, reflecting its high demand for medical expertise in its spatial design.

因地制宜｜Adaptation to Local Conditions

颖奕国际医疗中心选择了在海南这特殊的地理位置，除了必备的专业医用功能，也被得天独厚的南国长年温暖气候包覆。This medical center has chosen its unique geographical location in Hainan, enjoying a year-round warm climate.

在建筑设计上我们以一大体量的围院式三层建筑为主体，围院为中国传统建筑中的智慧，在体量上除了可供医疗中心六大科室的使用需求，也保证了其私密性与充足的自然采光。四方有序而温和的拱形开窗立面，在大型建筑结构中兼容了理性与感性。

The architectural design centres around a large three-story courtyard-style building, drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese architecture. This design not only accommodates the needs of the six central departments of the medical center but also ensures privacy and ample natural lighting. The orderly and gentle arched windows on all sides balance rationality and sensibility in this large-scale structure.

而扩大的回廊式的环绕动线，从传统围院建筑中提炼，更适应了海南气候的特性，兼具挡避风雨侵袭、炎阳照射；创造出外、中、内不同的动线层次；分散了各个医疗科室的移动人流，也创造出新的活动区域。

The expanded corridor-style circulation system, refined from traditional courtyard architecture, adapts well to Hainan's climate, offering protection from wind and rain and ample sunlight. It creates distinct circulation levels outside, in between, and inside the building, dispersing the flow of people in various medical departments and generating new activity areas.

兼容｜Compatible

因医疗中心特殊性质，不需要医院典型的分诊功能。室内设计采用大量弧形元素、木质装饰、温暖的色彩、人造绿化等，为所有访客创造了温馨而舒缓的视觉体验。

Due to the nature of the medical center, there's no need for the typical triage function of a hospital. The interior features curved elements, wooden accents, warm colours, artificial greenery, and more, creating a welcoming and soothing visual experience for all visitors.

摆脱了传统医院空间中仅有的理性与冷静，我们希望在整个医疗旅程中，我们将中国传统养生智慧的“颐养”理念融入到设计中，以更灵活、更因地制宜的方式，打破既定医院冰冷专业的刻板印象，融入中国南方风情的独特魅力。

It moves away from the conventional clinical and sterile appearance. Throughout the medical journey, we incorporate the concept of "health preservation" from traditional Chinese health wisdom into the design. The design concept is flexible and site-specific, breaking away from the stereotype of cold professionalism and incorporating the unique charm of Southern Chinese culture.

颐养与天人合一｜Harmony

医疗中心的特殊性，兼具了看诊、参观、住宿、手术、检查、储藏的功能，“人”在其中是最重要的一点，“疗”、“养”等同重要。

The medical center serves multiple functions, including diagnosing, visiting, accommodating, performing surgeries, performing examinations, and storing. The focus is on the "human" aspect, with equal importance placed on "treatment" and "recovery."

西方科技的进步，让生命得于再造以及延续，“精”、“气”、“神”的饱满为中医检视人健康的基本识别。

The progress of Western technology allows for regeneration and prolongation of life. The fullness of "essence," "energy," and "spirit" is fundamental in Traditional Chinese Medicine's assessment of one's health.

✳︎餐厅dining hall

从建筑到空间的设计，创造出内外的“循环”，与地理的循环，与天地的循环，便会成回一个自然的回响，得以让人在修复或再生之旅中，得以获得和谐的平衡。
From architecture to interior design, a "cycle" within and outside creates a natural resonance in harmony with geographical cycles and sync with biological processes. It allows individuals on the journey of repair or regeneration to achieve a harmonious balance.
